Life can be full of surprises, both bad and good.
A year ago, I was diagnosed with a very challenging health condition. It came right out of nowhere, and I had to put my acting career on hold, which broke my heart. I reached out to the Actors’ Trust for help and advice, and I was so surprised and overwhelmed by the care and support I got from them.
I’ve had to work very hard this past year on myself, fighting this new battle and bearing a huge weight on my shoulders. It’s been tough, but I’ve been adamant that I will overcome this challenge, and I will return to acting – I miss it desperately. Thanks to the Actors’ Trust, I have not had to face this challenge alone. They have helped me get through one of the toughest, most difficult times in my life, and I will never forget them for it.
Once my feet are back treading those boards, I have vowed that I will support the Actors’ Trust for the rest of my working life. They are so important to our wonderful industry, and I would not have been able to get through the past year without their amazing help
