We have expectations of Actors’ Trust members who are effectively ambassadors to identify potential new beneficiaries, new sources of funding and to identify new ways of meeting the evolving needs of members of the acting and stage management community facing hardship. These expectations are particularly so now that the Actors’ Trust looks to involve more members as volunteers in both the governance and activity of the charity.
As a member we ask that you:
- Act in the best interests of the Actors’ Trust and its current and potential beneficiary community
- Uphold and defend our vision, mission, and values.
- Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in the acting and stage professions, and treat others with respect, including current and potential beneficiaries and all Actors’ Trusts’ employees.
- Not disclose confidential information received during the Annual General Meeting, committee meetings, or in any other Actors’ Trusts’ meetings or communications.
- Immediately inform the chief executive or an officer of the Actors’ Trust in the event of allegations that would reasonably be considered of concern from a safeguarding perspective or of criminal behaviour, or criminal proceedings or allegations pertinent to the Actors’ Trust’s community.
- Keep the Actors’ Trust informed of your current contact details.
